2ne1 - Missing You

I guess this song would be considered a ballad? It's definitely slower than most of their songs. The song didn't blow me away, but I think it's pretty nice to listen to. It makes for good background music. I really liked Minzy's part. Her voice has improved so much since they debuted. I used to really love Park Bom's voice, but I think she never learned proper singing techniques or YG worked her too hard because her voice sounds kind of weak here (like she has a sore throat or something). I wonder if they ever hired a vocal coach for her or just left her on her own? Or maybe she has health issues?

As for the video, I thought it matched the feel of the song, but I thought that guy was totally random. I don't really know why they put him in there... I liked the outfits for this video. All the girls looked great. I think the way they style CL's hair and makeup is way better than how they used to. She's looked glamorous in the past year or so rather than just funky/fun.

I think a lot of people don't like 2ne1's new concept, but I don't think it's that bad. I think they're going for a more grown up look and I feel they are achieving their goals. I still think their sound is pretty unique compared to other girl groups.

I wonder how much longer they are going to stay a group though. Bom and Sandara just recently turned 30. Supposedly Bom's releasing a solo album in the future. I'm curious as to how it'll turn out. I wonder if Bom and Sandara want to go and do other things. They both mentioned wanting to get married and date, but with their current work, that probably won't happen. Bom mentioned considering being a vocal coach and Sandara could always  model. I actually think Minzy and CL could make a good pair... I guess we'll just have to wait and find out because no one knows what YG will do, even in the very near future!
