Ghibli Museum (Tokyo)

If you are ever in Tokyo, I highly recommend going to the Ghibli museum. It's really cute! Even if you're not really into anime, I still think you might like it. It just has a lot of cool visual illusions. I think you have to pay extra, but there's also a short animation you can watch as well. The tickets are really neat because each one has a different scene from a Ghibli movie. At one place in the museum, you can place it in a projector and get a better look at it.

On the top floor there is a small bookstore, a souvenir store, and a little play area for children. Outside there is a place where you can sit and eat. They sell ice cream there, but I think it was kind of expensive.

Tokyo Districts: Akihabara

To be honest, I didn't really like Akihabara. It's pretty much full of electronics and pervy guy stuff. Unless you're looking for something like that, I'd skip it. If you're female and want some manga and character goods, you might want to check out Ikebukuro which has some large anime/manga as well as a variety of cafes, restaurants, and stores.
